Discovered Doc and crew in the 6th grade, and has been an avid reader and collector since. Prefer Street & Smith over Bantam, (mostly) Baumhofer and Harris over Bama, Emery and Clarke. Waiting for the grail, the March 1933 premier adventure, to fall into my lap and finish the original 181 issue pulp run.
I had high hopes for this one (pardon the pun) but unfortunately it didn’t measure up. The mystery and action were great but the “falling up” trick turning out to be a trick killed this one for me. I know it’s part of the formula for Doc but this one really needed a real mystery. Great except for the ending.
