This is a great over-the-top Doc with a mystery that lives up to the hype! Though this is a short novel, the tension builds as we are given tantalizing hints about the strange living thing in a pet carrying case. This alone keeps you reading. As an added bonus, 3 of the Fabulous Five are sick to death of Monk and Ham’s fighting and try to get them to stop! This leads to some great Monk/Ham scenes! A superior Doc story! If you like you Docs “out there” then this is the one for you. Great stuff!
